CCSME Expressive Tools Series | Art and Music: Expressive Tools for Clinical Practice REGISTER HERE Using the arts in clinical practice is a powerful way to facilitate self-expression, self-awareness, and healing. The first in our series is a highly experiential workshop and is specifically designed for behavioral health and other professionals who treat individuals with substance use and behavioral health disorders who are interested in learning more about incorporating elements of art and music techniques into their clinical practice. In this series: September 28, 2018 | Expressive Tools to Treat Anxiety November 9, 2018 | Developmental and Learning Disabilities November 30, 2018 | Art and Music to Address Complicated Grief ABOUT THE PRESENTERS Bodhi Simpson, LCPC, ATR, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maine and a Registered Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentialing Board. She earned her graduate degree in Clinical Art Therapy at Springfield College. She currently serves as the President of the Maine Mental Health Counselors Association. She also provide supervision for art therapists in Maine working toward their ATR certification. Read more… Kate Beever, MA, MT-BC, originally from Gorham, Maine, studied at the USM School of Music and then worked for Frank Glazer before moving to New York City. She is now a Board Certified Music Therapist with a Master’s degree in Music Psychotherapy from New York University. While in New York, she interned at Beth Israel Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She returned to the fresh air of Maine to open Maine Music & Health.
