This workshop will cover the basic theory and practice with a focus on the Circle process. For those interested in restorative approaches to classroom management and dealing with conflict, join us for the workshop on Restorative Approaches to Discipline on November 2nd. You will learn and practice restorative interventions that move students toward empathy and accountability as well as ways to engage students in conversations about classroom climate. If you are already doing Circles in your classroom, or are new to the process, the workshop on Practicing Restorative Circles on December 6th is for you! You will experience different types of Circles and receive feedback and tips for effective facilitation. For administrators and others responsible for policy and discipline, we are examining these issues and providing models in our workshop on Moving School Policy from Traditional to Restorative Discipline on December 7th.
