Urban Runoff 5K

Saturday, April 22, 2017, 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Runners and walkers will hit the streets and trails in Portland for the annual Urban Runoff 5K race and walk to raise awareness of water pollution and raise money to support clean water education in the greater Portland and Saco areas. Recently voted "one of the most fun and unique 5Ks in the US", the Urban Runoff is celebrating its 6th year and wants you to be a part of it!

Our community – health, economy, way of life – depends on clean water. Polluted runoff threatens the health of Maine’s lakes, streams, rivers and bays. The date of the Urban Runoff 5K was chosen to coincide with Earth Day and spring’s “first flush” when rain and melted snow wash pollution into our waterways.

The race is followed by the City of Portland’s Green Neighbor Family Fest, where families and community members enjoy hands-on activities about water, live entertainment, and have an all-around good time!

Join us – help preserve our communities, health, and Maine way of life by keeping our water clean! Visit urbanrunoff5k.com to learn more.

Cost: Adult (18+): $20 before 4/22
