Ragnar Kjartansson: Scenes from Western Culture

Monday, February 3, 2020, 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Subtitled "A faintly absurd and occasionally ominous vision of Western lif," this video installation by the Icelandic artist Kjartansson comprises nine video screens, each featuring a different vignette of daily life in the Western Hemisphere -- a couple dining together, a speedboat on a Swiss lake, a couple making love in a sleek, minimal interior, an afternoon swim, the burning of a forest cabin, upper-class children playing in a Munich garden. On view through March 1.

Cost: Museum admission: $15-$18; under age 15 free; Fridays free from 4 to 8 pm
