Sea Change Yoga at Maine Beer Company
Maine Beer Company is excited to host Sea Change Yoga at our tasting room. Funds raised from these Vinyasa Flow classes will be donated to the work done by Sea Change Yoga in our community. Following each class, participants can join us in the new tasting room for a complimentary beer. SEA CHANGE YOGA: Sea Change Yoga brings the healing power of trauma-informed yoga and meditation to people who have experienced trauma in their lives. They teach 24 classes each week in substance use recovery centers, correctional institutions, and transitional housing facilities. Studies have shown the many benefits of yoga and mindfulness practices, including improved ability to regulate emotions and manage stress, as well as reduced feelings of anger, anxiety, and aggression and so much more. These tools aid greatly in the process of recovering from substance use disorder and reduce the likelihood that a formerly incarcerated individual will re-offend. Sea Change Yoga is helping our neighbors to build a toolbox that will serve them for a lifetime, long after they roll up their yoga mats. Learn more at seachangeyoga.org.
